Exposing the Enemy In Our Lives

Exposing the Enemy In Our Lives

Heyyy Sis!

I’m so glad to be back sharing the Word of God! My highest hope is that you grow in your faith daily. This blog is a tool that will allow me to share what God has given me.

Let’s Talk:

On this journey of faith, we often encounter the unseen enemy who lurks in the shadows, seeking to undermine our spiritual growth and lead us away from God. Just like a mechanic has to expose a car's engine to diagnose and repair its issues, we too must expose the tactics of our enemy to understand and reclaim our spiritual health.

I had to share this verse with you because it came alive to me as I was preparing this blog. The Bible explains the importance of light in the face of darkness. Ephesians 5:13 (NIV) states, "But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light." This verse emphasizes that when we bring the enemy’s schemes into the light we gain more power to overcome them. When we expose the lies and deceptions of the enemy, we can confront them and seek God’s truth.

Imagine a broken vase, once beautiful, now lying in pieces. To restore it, the craftsman has to carefully gather the fragmented pieces, examining them to understand how they fit together again. Similarly, the enemy often shatters our peace, hope, and joy, leaving us feeling fragmented. But before we can be repaired and restored, we must first bring these broken pieces into the light.

Just like the craftsman who meticulously collects and inspects each broken pieces, we must examine OUR lives for the influences and tactics of the enemy. 2 Corinthians 2:11 (NIV) says, "In order that Satan might not outwit us; for we are not unaware of his schemes." By recognizing and exposing the enemy’s tactics—like fear, doubt, and temptation—we can begin the process of healing and rebuilding our spiritual lives.

Let’s Study:

1. Ephesians 5:11-12 (NIV): “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret."

2. John 8:32 (NIV)**: "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." Exposing the enemy's lies allows us to embrace the freedom that comes from God’s truth.

3. Psalm 139:23-24 (NIV): “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." This is a prayerful invitation to allow God to expose what needs healing.

Let’s Reflect:

Let’s take time today to reflect on areas in our lives where the enemy may be at work. Are there fears, doubts, or temptations that need to be exposed to the light of God’s truth? Invite the Holy Spirit to shine His light on these dark places, and trust that He will guide you toward healing and restoration.

As we reflect on this week's devotion, ask ourselves, “Where in our lives do we need the enemy to be exposed?

Let’s Pray:

Father God, I thank You for the light of Your truth that exposes the tactics of the enemy. Help me to recognize and confront the areas in my life that need healing. Give me the courage to bring those broken pieces into the light. Lord let your power restore me and repair me.

In Jesus’s Name Amen

YOU GOT THIS!♥️💪🏾
