COMPARISON IS A THIEF

COMPARISON IS A THIEF

Hey Friend,

I hope you had an opportunity to refuel and recalibrate this weekend. As we begin to navigate through this week, I wanted to take a moment to talk about something that has been on my heart for a while now - the danger of comparison.

Many times, we often find ourselves comparing ourselves to others, whether it be our appearance, career success, relationships, or even our parenting skills. However, the reality is that comparison can be extremely detrimental to our mental health, self-esteem, and overall well-being. It can lead to feelings of inadequacy, jealousy, and even depression.

The truth is that God has uniquely created each one of us differently. We all have our own unique journey, with our own strengths, weaknesses, and experiences. We should be celebrating each other's successes and supporting each other through our struggles, rather than constantly striving to be better than one another.

Comparison is the thief of joy. The Bible tells us that it is not wise to compare ourselves with each other. When we focus on what we don't have, we fail to appreciate what we do have and the blessings in our lives. It's important to remember that we are all valuable and worthy, just as we are.

So Sis, my message to you this week is this - let’s strive to lift each other up and celebrate our differences. Let's focus on our own journeys and appreciate the beauty in our unique paths. Comparison kills, but love, support, and encouragement can make us all a better woman. If you compare yourself to anyone, let it be the woman you were yesterday and use it to become a better woman today.

Wishing you uncommon favor this week!

YOU GOT THIS,

Dymeata B.
